California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA): What You Need to Know

Many organizations, wherever located, will be affected by the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). The CCPA grants California residents new rights with respect to the use and collection of their personal information. 

Locke Lord’s Privacy & Cybersecurity group presented a one-hour, complimentary webinar on September 19th from 12:30-1:30 p.m.(ET) on the basics of the CCPA. Topics included the purpose, scope and affected organizations of the Act; covered businesses’ responsibilities and compliance requirements; consumers’ rights; vendor management; pending amendments; and other states’ actions.

This course was approved for 1.0 of Minimum Continuing Legal Education credit in TX, CA, and NY (Areas of Professional Development), and is pending in other states.
