Carlos Marin

Carlos Marin focuses his practice on complex commercial litigation in state and federal courts. He has broad experience in the areas of consumer finance, health care, class actions, mass torts, products liability and financial litigation. Carlos participates in all aspects of litigation, including pre-trial motions, discovery, depositions, expert motion practice, summary judgment, trials and appeals.

In the health care space, Carlos represents health care companies, Fortune 500 corporations, and other corporate entities and individuals facing lawsuits and enforcement actions. Carlos appears regularly in state and federal courts as well as before administrative agencies. His health care practice focuses on representing health care companies on a broad range of issues.

In the consumer finance area, Carlos represents mortgage lenders and loan servicers facing class actions and individual claims under federal statutes, such as the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, Fair Credit Reporting Act and the Real State Settlement Procedures Act. Carlos has also represented lenders and loan servicers against claims for wrongful foreclosure and claims brought under state consumer protection statutes. Additionally, Carlos has experience in financial and securities litigation, mass torts and trade secrets litigation.

As a native Spanish speaker who grew up in Latin America, Carlos is also a member of the Firm’s Latin America Practice Group.
