Ellen Hughes-Jones is an Associate in the London office of Locke Lord LLP and a member of the Intellectual Property practice.
Ellen's practice covers a wide range of intellectual property law matters, with a particular focus on trade mark and copyright disputes and trade mark portfolio management. Clients include some of the world's best-known brands, an American multinational technology company, the owner, operator, and franchisee of a chain of amusement attractions worldwide, a well-known American drugstore and pharmacy, and a successful partnership in the American musical theatre.
Ellen also advises manufacturers, marketers, and distributors of cosmetics, dietary supplements, over the counter drugs, and medical devices as well as beauty appliances and other consumer products and luxury goods in relation to compliance issues, brand strategy, pre-and post-publication advertising clearance and review of consumer promotional programs.
In addition to contentious experience, Ellen understands the commercial needs of her clients having been on secondment to a multinational pharmaceutical company, where she drafted and negotiated procurement contracts, licensing agreements, outsourcing agreements and clinical trial agreements.
