(DALLAS) January 9, 2023 – Drew Slone has joined Locke Lord’s Public Finance Practice Group as a Partner in the Firm’s Dallas office. Her arrival further cements the Firm’s public finance presence, underwriters’ counsel and bond counsel capabilities in Texas, one of the largest and most diverse public finance markets in the country.
Joining Locke Lord from Winstead, Ms. Slone’s practice primarily focuses on the use of special districts (public improvement districts, tax increment reinvestment zones, municipal utility districts, municipal management districts and the like) and development incentives, such as Chapter 380 agreements, as tools for the development of master-planned residential and mixed-use communities. She has experience representing issuers, underwriters and developers in municipal bond and economic development transactions for governmental capital projects, residential real estate development as well as utility, education and health care projects.

We are thrilled she has joined us.”
Ms. Slone serves on the local Community Development and P3 Product Councils for Urban Land Institute Dallas-Fort Worth, part of the oldest and largest network of cross-disciplinary real estate and land use professionals in the world. She is a member of the Texas Women in Public Finance, Dallas Bar Association and Dallas Women Lawyers Association. She also serves on the Board of Directors for Girls on the Run DFW, a not-for-profit aimed to inspire girl empowerment by building confidence, kindness and decision-making skills, where she is Immediate Past Chair of the Board of Directors.
