Locke Lord's Nina Huerta Featured in Interview With USC Gould Discussing Efforts to Increase Latino Representation in Legal Profession

Los Angeles Managing Partner Nina Huerta, an alumna of USC Gould School of Law, was featured in an interview with USC Gould highlighting her work with community and professional organizations to increase Latino access to law school and representation in the legal profession.

“There are so many systemic and economic barriers to getting smart, qualified attorneys through the legal pipeline,” she said.

Huerta discusses her work as President of the Mexican American Bar Foundation, which funds scholarships for law school students of Latino heritage, and with Just the Beginning – A Pipeline Organization, serving on the steering committee of the nonprofit’s Summer Legal Institute for underrepresented high school students. Huerta also spearheads Locke Lord’s participation in Verbum Dei High School’s internship program.
