Locke Lord has been ranked among top law firms in the UK in the 2021 edition of the World Trademark Review (WTR) 1000, and three lawyers in Locke Lord’s London office have been recognised among the world’s leading trademark practitioners in England.
WTR notes Locke Lord is “equally capable on multinational disputes, brand protection and transactions” and “has the rare distinction of housing a dedicated trademark searcher.”
Ben Hitchens was ranked by WTR 1000 for enforcement and litigation. The publication recognised Ben for undertaking both prosecution and enforcement, particularly in the digital realm, and notes he has “recently been stopping counterfeiters in their tracks.”
Paolo Andreottola was recognised for prosecution and strategy. WTR referred to him as a “brand protection and enforcement maven with a knack for opposition proceedings before the UK and EU trademark registries.”
The WTR 1000 also mentions Ellen Hughes-Jones, noting that she “shows remarkable legal knowledge and understanding of the client’s commercial needs, combined with high professional effectiveness.”
Now in its 11th year, the WTR 1000 shines a spotlight on the firms and individuals that are deemed outstanding in trademark law.
