Glenn Pudelka Joins Beyond The Book Podcast to Discuss IP and Copyright Issues During the COVID-19 Crisis

Glenn Pudelka, Co-Chair of Locke Lord’s Trademark, Copyright and Advertising Group, was featured on the Copyright Clearance Center’s podcast “Beyond The Book” to discuss developments in copyright law during the COVID-19 pandemic. Pudelka, who also serves as President of the Copyright Society of the USA (CSUSA), discusses the industry’s efforts to balance business-as-usual copyright filings and evolving issues that have arisen due to the crisis, including digitizing paperwork that is normally sent by mail. He also discusses increased demand for content in the current climate and changes to the way content is temporarily licensed and distributed.

Discussing broader Intellectual Property considerations, Pudelka notes this area of the law will be extremely important as researchers move toward developing a COVID-19 vaccine.

Reflecting on his two-year term as CSUSA President, which wraps up this year, Pudelka called holding the position “an honor.”
