Locke Lord Houston Office Managing Partner Laura Edrington ‎‎1 of Only 6 Women Named Top Lawyers by Houston Business ‎Journal

(HOUSTON) October 4, 2018 – Laura Edrington, Locke Lord’s Houston Office Managing Partner, has been selected as a Houston Business Journal 2018 Women Who ‎Mean Business honoree. Recognized in the Outstanding Leaders in Law category, she is one of ‎only six legal professionals honored for her career achievement, contributions to the Firm, ‎community involvement and leadership. She will be featured in an upcoming special section of ‎the Houston Business Journal and at an awards reception on Oct. 18.‎

Edrington is a member of the Firm’s Board of Directors and serves as Chair of Locke Lord’s ‎Corporate Trust Practice Group. She is also a member of Locke Lord’s Women’s Initiative and ‎Flexible Work Arrangement Committees.‎

An active member of the Houston community, Edrington serves on the Board of Directors for the Greater Houston Partnership and acts as Chair of its Environmental Advisory Committee. She is a member of the Junior League of Houston, a member of the Board of Directors for Central Houston Inc., a Director of Harris County MUD 410 and recently served on the Board of Directors for Pine Cove Christian Camps.

Edrington focuses her practice on the representation of financial institutions in connection with bonds, securitizations, real estate and commercial lending. She is well known as a leader in representing trustees in connection with events of default. Financial institutions regularly seek her advice in connection with complex financial structures both in negotiating documents for new issuances as well as in connection with dispute resolution.
