Houston Partner Michael Rose Provides Insight to Texas Lawbook at Firm’s Combatting Sexual Harassment in Workplaces Webinar

Locke Lord Labor and Employment lawyers hosted a webinar providing insight to companies on how to combat sexual harassment in the workplace and best practices for preventing and mitigating incidents. The Firm’s webinar, recapped by The Texas Lawbook, reviewed elements of a strong sexual harassment policy, employee training and basic steps involved in investigations by management into sexual harassment complaints.

Houston Partner Michael Rose addressed establishing a company’s sexual harassment policy saying it needs to provide “assurance that employees who make complaints or participate in an investigation will be protected against retaliation, assurance the employer will protect the confidentiality of complaints to the extent possible,” and a guarantee that complaint process will provide a “prompt, thorough and impartial investigation.”
