Boston’s Richard Glovsky, Co-Chair of Locke Lord’s Labor & Employment Practice Group, was quoted in an article examining what’s next for the U.S. Department of Labor’s overtime rule after a Texas federal judge struck it down.
Glovsky said “the ruling wasn’t a surprise given Judge Mazzant’s earlier ruling” that enjoined the rule. He added that the decision “overturns decades of prior practice, administrative guidance and the unimpaired use of the salary threshold approach to overtime prerequisites.”
