Charles Phipps, Locke Lord IP Litigation Practice Group Co-Chair, Comments on North Texas Patent Litigation and Patent Prosecution in Dallas Business Journal

Dallas Partner Charles Phipps, Co-Chair of Locke Lord’s IP Litigation Practice Group, addressed whether patent cases are expected to continue to rise or decline in North Texas over the next five years. He said, “North Texas boasts a greater diversity of technologies innovated here. We expect patent prosecution cases to continue to climb in North Texas over the next five years as there continues to be a greater emphasis on startup companies and venture capital in the area. We expect to see more patent litigation matters in the Northern District of Texas in view of the growth of high technology companies.”
