Kathleen Swan will serve as a judge and legal mentor at the 2022 Global New Venture Challenge (GNVC) on June 1, 2022, at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. Locke Lord has been the legal sponsor of the 2022 GNVC for the last four years and has worked with teams in Chicago, London and Hong Kong.
The GNVC, now in its 15th year, operates on three Booth campuses — Chicago, London and Hong Kong. The GNVC is one of the five tracks of the New Venture Challenge, a business plan competition founded 26 years ago, which has launched companies such as Grubhub, Venmo and Simple Mills with over $1.2 billion in funding raised and more than $8.5 billion in mergers and exits.
