Locke Lord Team Represents Tampa Electric Company in $500 Million Unsecured Note Issuance

A Locke Lord team led by John Whitlock and Megan Foscaldi (both of Boston) represented Tampa Electric Company, a public utility company providing retail electric service in West Central Florida, in the issuance of a series of senior unsecured notes in an aggregate principal amount of $500 million through a public offering. Tampa Electric plans to use the net proceeds from the issuance for general corporate purposes, including repayment of short-term debt. The lead underwriters were Wells Fargo Securities, LLC, Morgan Stanley & Co, LLC, and MUFG Securities Americas Inc. Additional assistance was provided by Mason Marek (Boston), Barry Bendes (New York) and Tom Bohac (Chicago).
