Indemnity and Assumption Reinsurance Transaction
In August 2012, a team of Edwards Wildman insurance lawyers in New York negotiated, documented, and closed transfer of all US fixed annuities and accumulation riders of Industrial Alliance Insurance and Financial Services (IA) and its affiliates to Security Benefit Life Insurance Company and Equitrust Life Insurance Company, affiliates of Guggenheim Capital Partners through an indemnity and assumption reinsurance transaction. IA is a Toronto-based health and life insurance company.
