Bill Swanstrom serves as Co-Chair of the Firm's Energy Practice Group. Bill has over 30 years of experience working with energy companies in their significant acquisition, divestiture, project development and finance activities. He also has substantial experience in energy private equity transactions, representing both investors and companies. He is a regular speaker and writes on energy M&A and project development issues.

  • ‎Tall Oak Midstream and TW Midcon ‎Holdings, LLC, portfolio companies of ‎Tailwater Capital, in the acquisition of ‎Redcliff Midstream, LLC, from Canyon ‎Midstream Partners II, LLC
  • Race Rock Group in its acquisition of ‎Structural and Steel Products, Inc. and ‎its related entities, from Highland ‎Capital Management for an undisclosed ‎value
  • Crestwood Equity Partners LP in its acquisition of terminaling and storage assets in several states from Plains All American Pipeline, LP, for approximately $160 million
  • ‎ENGIE in the sale of its Waterbury ‎power plant, a gas-fired power plant in ‎Connecticut, to Hull Street Capital ‎
  • NextEra Energy Partners LP in its $1.37 billion acquisition of Meade Pipeline Co LLC, and its interest in the Central Penn Line
  • Nuevo Midstream Dos, LLC, in its acquisition of Republic Midstream, LLC, from an affiliate of ArcLight Capital Partners
  • AEC Partners in its sale of Generation Pipeline to NEXUS Gas Transmission, LLC, a joint venture of DTE Energy Company and Enbridge, Inc. for approximately $160 million. Generation Pipeline is a 23-mile natural gas pipeline extending across three counties in Northern Ohio
  • Conflicts Committee of Spectra Energy Partners, LP (SEP), in its completed conversion of all of Enbridge Inc.’s incentive distribution rights (IDRs) and general partner economic interests in SEP into 172.5 million newly issued SEP common units
  • Saddle Butte Rockies Midstream, LLC, and affiliates in its $638.5 million acquisition by Black Diamond Gathering, LLC, a newly formed joint venture by Noble Midstream Partners LP and Greenfield Midstream, LLC
  • Silver Creek Midstream, LLC, a portfolio company of Tailwater Capital, LLC, in its acquisition of Red Butte Pipe Line LLC
  • Medallion Gathering & Processing, LLC, in its $1.825 billion sale to an affiliate of Global Infrastructure Partners
  • Tailwater Capital, LLC, in its sale of Align Midstream, LLC, to Enable Midstream Partners, LP, for approximately $300 million
  • Stronghold, Ltd., and Stronghold Specialty, Ltd., in their sale to Quanta Services, Inc., for $450 million base consideration with a maximum additional contingent consideration of $100 million
  • American Midstream Partners LP in its merger with JP Energy Partners LP
  • Targa Resources Corp. in its acquisition of 100 percent of the membership interests of Outrigger Delaware Operating LLC, Outrigger Southern Delaware Operating LLC and Outrigger Midland Operating LLC from Outrigger Energy LLC for $565 million plus potential earnout
  • One of the world’s largest wind developers in its acquisition of a 6,000 MW portfolio of wind and solar development projects across the United States
  • Lucid Energy Group II, LLC, in its acquisition of all outstanding stock of Agave Energy Holdings Inc. and the purchase of certain assets from Agave Energy Company
