Colleen O'Connor represents corporations, individuals and other entities in complex litigation and government investigations. She has experience in securities enforcement actions, white collar criminal matters, internal investigations, securities class action litigation and securities derivative litigation, spanning various industries, including life sciences, automotive, banking and finance.
Colleen's experience includes defending clients facing U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) and Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) investigations and enforcement matters relating to allegations of fraud. She also has experience in all aspects of litigation, including drafting pleadings, conducting factual investigation and discovery and preparing for trial. Colleen has also served as lead lawyer in several cases involving allegations arising under the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA). Colleen maintains an active pro bono practice and has assisted clients in immigration, child custody and domestic violence proceedings.

During law school, Colleen worked with local companies and entrepreneurs through Notre Dame's Community Development Clinic, where she helped clients structure and form their organizations and counseled clients on best practices for their businesses.
Prior to attending law school, Colleen worked for the New York County District Attorney's Office (DANY) as a trial preparation assistant. While working at DANY, she investigated cases from minor drug sales to complicated murders, assisted state prosecutors in several homicide and sexual assault trials, and worked closely with state prosecutors on several cases from arrest to sentencing.
