Jon Biasetti

Jon Biasetti is Co-Chair of Locke Lord's Regulatory and Transactional Insurance Practice Group. Jon represents U.S. and foreign clients on a variety of corporate, transactional and insurance regulatory matters. Jon, who has been acknowledged in The Legal 500 United States and Chambers USA for his accomplishments in the reinsurance practice, is one of the leading reinsurance lawyers in the country with significant experience structuring, negotiating, documenting and closing reinsurance transactions of various kinds and complexity. In addition, Jon has a significant insurance joint venture practice that covers both property and casualty as well as life, accident and health lines of business. He has a particular focus on innovative joint ventures between health insurers and large health systems.

Health Care

• Representation of several national and regional health insurers is focused on the laws and regulations that govern the business and operations of health insurance companies, HMOs and other managed care organizations, both at the federal and state level, including those that are affiliated with health systems
• Involved as lead national insurance regulatory counsel in some of the largest health insurer acquisitions involving a multitude of Form A filings, Form E filings and other ancillary filings and notices
• Representation of several national and regional health insurers and health systems in their innovative marketing alliances and joint ventures with other health insurers and/or health systems.
