Locke Lord LLP Attorney Jon Gillum Contributes to Inaugural Insurance Regulatory Event in Austin

Locke Lord LLP Senior Counsel Jon Gillum has been serving on the Planning Committee for a joint effort by the Insurance Section of the State Bar of Texas and the Austin Bar Association to increase the involvement of Texas insurance regulatory attorneys in bar activities.   On August 29, 2018, Gillum presented a presentation on “Duties to Report Misconduct” along with Texas Department of Insurance (TDI) enforcement attorney Rachel Cloyd.  Gillum and Cloyd delivered the presentation to an audience of TDI attorneys, in-house counsel, and private practitioners.  A copy of the presentation can be found here, which explores situations where there is a mandatory obligation under Texas law to report certain events arising in the insurance industry.
