Risk Factors in Deals Involving Chinese Investors

Tom Tong, an International Partner based in the Firm’s Dallas office, authored an article sharing some of the risk factors involved in deals with Chinese investors that he has observed through the years. Tong notes that due to recent developments, “we have reason to expect that the cross-border merger and acquisition trend established by Chinese investors in the past decade will continue” and outlines risks such as regulatory hurdles, lack of industry experience, the overreliance on governmental support and more.
