    Locke Lord QuickStudy: New California Law Creates Dilemma for Insurers and Their E-Contracting Processes

    California recently passed state law AB 1131 to establish new electronic process standards for life and annuity insurers. This new statute requires additional steps beyond those specified in the federal Electronic Signatures in Global and National Commerce Act (ESIGN), which has been in effect for the last 15 years.
