Locke Lord’s Nicole Chakraborty Named to Rhode Island Lawyers Weekly’s Excellence in the Law List as Up & Coming Lawyer Honoree

Providence Associate Nicole Chakraborty, a member of Locke Lord’s Corporate and Transactional Practice Group‎, has been named to Rhode Island Lawyers Weekly’s Excellence in the Law list as an Up & Coming Lawyer honoree. This honor is a salute to the rising stars of the Rhode Island Bar, recognizing attorneys who have been practicing and admitted in the Rhode Island Bar for 10 years or less yet have already distinguished themselves in the practice of law.

Chakraborty focuses her practice on corporate governance, M&A, private equity and venture capital. She regularly counsels clients on a variety of transactional needs, including leveraged buyouts, debt and equity offerings, minority investments and general corporate counseling for private companies, public companies and private equity firms and their portfolio companies. Outside of her practice, Chakraborty serves as a mentor with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Rhode Island and sits on the Advisory Board of FirstWorks, a Providence-based nonprofit with a mission to enrich the social, educational and economic fabric of Rhode Island by engaging diverse audiences with world-class performing arts experiences.
