Dallas Locke Lord Partner Brad Weber Quoted by The National Law Journal on DOJ Antitrust Division’s New Health Care Task Force

Dallas Partner Brad Weber, Co-Chair of Locke Lord’s Antitrust Practice Group, was quoted by the National Law Journal on the formation of the Department of Justice (DOJ) Antitrust Division’s Task Force on Health Care Monopolies and Collusion, which will guide the DOJ’s enforcement strategy and policy relating to health care. Weber explains that the DOJ has previously created similar task forces in parts of the economy or an industry where the department is concerned about competition.

Citing the DOJ and Federal Trade Commission’s joint statement of interest regarding algorithmic pricing, Weber adds, “That will be one of their missions…in this new health care task force: to look at algorithmic pricing in the health care industry.”
