Lisa Ruggiero, Managing Partner of Locke Lord’s New York and Newark offices, was quoted by Law360 outlining her top priorities and concerns for 2024 as an office leader. Ruggiero discusses the importance of a strong, collaborative workplace culture, the Firm’s dedication to growth and recruiting as well as an emphasis on employee wellness.
Ruggiero notes that strategically growing the Firm’s New York office with new hires who elevate key practice areas and fit the workplace culture is still top of mind. “Growth is always important for us, and in New York, it’s important that we have a bigger footprint,” she says. “We’re always looking for opportunities to grow certain practice groups, like insurance, regulatory and transactional, and to make the office more diverse.”
Ruggiero adds that one of her main focuses is maintaining a strong, collaborative workplace culture and ensuring associate development despite the impact of remote work. “A big part of my responsibility here is to make sure people are happy and feel included,” she says.
