This case was selected as one to watch in Texas in 2023. Lorick notes the mass power outage experienced in Texas during Winter Storm Uri led to numerous lawsuits in state and federal courts. "A lot of those lawsuits name ERCOT," Lorick said. "So the implications are vast whichever way the court decides."
