Chicago Locke Lord Lawyer Ken Suh Quoted by Bloomberg Law on Recent Interpretations of BIPA

Ken Suh, Senior Counsel in Locke Lord’s Chicago office and a member of the Firm’s Privacy and Cybersecurity Practice Group, was quoted by Bloomberg Law on the potential impact of a recent Biometric Information Privacy Act (BIPA) decision in Illinois state court. Suh notes the state appellate court’s conclusion builds on previous BIPA decisions that eliminated outlier interpretations of the statute. “You have to specifically identify how your rights have allegedly been violated, as well as which service and which product [was allegedly involved],” Suh added.
