Locke Lord Partner Ben Cowan Discusses Keystone XL Cancellation in Video Interview With The Associated Press

Locke Lord’s Ben Cowan, a Partner in the Firm’s Environmental Section, shared insights with The Associated Press on TC Energy’s decision to formally call off the Keystone XL Pipeline project following the cancellation of its permit by the federal government. In the video interview, he notes the pipeline had been a “very controversial and very political issue.”

The cancellation of the permit, Cowan said, “really was a death knell for the project. There's no question that climate policy was a significant driver in that decision.”
