Hartford Office Managing Partner Ted Augustinos, a member of the steering committee of Locke Lord’s Privacy and Cybersecurity Practice Group, was quoted in a Law30 article examining the top cybersecurity and privacy policy developments of 2020 thus far. Augustinos provided insight on the effect of the COVID-19 pandemic on privacy and security for law firms. He noted, "As the rush by many businesses into the remote work environment changed their cybersecurity profile, attackers took advantage of the new environment by developing targeted attacks, such as through spoofed pandemic-related pronouncements by government agencies and news organizations.”
