Texas Lawyer Quotes New Partner Mike Malfettone on Locke Lord's Active Renewable Energy Practice

Mike Malfettone, a Partner in Locke Lord’s Renewable Energy Section, was featured in Texas Lawyer after joining the Firm. He credited Locke Lord’s established and active Renewable Energy practice for his decision to move to the Firm, which will allow him to continue to leverage his transactional practice. His clients include project developers, utilities, corporations, institutional and private investors and financing parties. Malfettone brings valuable experience leading project finance and M&A transactions involving wind, solar, storage and other clean technology projects.

Malfettone is currently located in Locke Lord’s Austin office, but will relocate to the Firm’s New York office in coming months due in part to the mix of energy and private equity clients and opportunities there. While COVID-19 has impacted the timing of his relocation, he noted, “it’s good to establish myself [in Texas] as well.”
