Locke Lord Public Finance Team Ranked Fourth in The Bond Buyer's Q1 2020 Top Bond Counsel for Competitive Sales With Highest Number of Issues in Top 10 and 10th in Top Underwriter's Counsel

Locke Lord was ranked fourth on The Bond Buyer’s list of top bond counsel in the nation for competitive sales during Q1 2020 with 39 issues totaling $1.03 billion, the highest number of issues of any firm in the top 10. The Firm was also ranked No. 10 on the Top Underwriter’s Counsel List for Q1 2020.

The team’s recent notable matters include acting as bond counsel for the State of Rhode Island for $300 million in emergency lines of credit needed to fund the State’s cash flow as expenses increase and tax and revenue collections are delayed due to COVID-19; serving as bond counsel with respect to ‎$136.055 million Massachusetts Development Finance Agency Revenue Bonds, ‎Massachusetts Institute of Technology Issue, Series P (2020); serving as underwriters’ counsel for a 19-member syndicate led by BofA Securities and Goldman Sachs on a $2.3 billion bond issue for the Grand Parkway Transportation Corporation and serving as underwriter’s counsel to Barclays Capital Inc. for the issuance of $148.82 million Massachusetts Development Finance Agency Revenue Bonds, Boston College Issue, Series U ‎‎(2020)‎.
