Chicago Office Managing Partner Michael Renetzky, Chair of the Firm’s Finance Committee, was quoted in an article on guidance recently released by the Security and Exchange Commission (SEC) on its new Form CRS.
“It’s repetitive but not in a bad way,” Renetzky notes of the guidance, compared to the June 2019 rule pertaining to the new form.
Renetzky went on to advise those drafting investment advisory contracts to consider including reference to the new Form CRS (also known as Form ADV, Part 3) if the agreement asks a client to acknowledge they’ve received the adviser’s Form ADV brochure.
