Texas Lawyer Features Elizabeth Lang Miers on Her Return to Locke Lord as Partner and Director of Attorney Development

Elizabeth Lang Miers, a Justice on the Court of Appeals for the 5th District of Texas at Dallas until December 2018, was featured in an article highlighting her decision to rejoin Locke Lord as a Partner and Director of Attorney Development based in the Dallas office. Lang Miers discussed her return to appellate law, and how she brings a new perspective to oral argument: “Having participated in so many oral arguments now as a judge, I think I can really understand better what you need to talk about and what they are really looking to hear.”

Lang Miers also looks forward to her new role in mentoring other lawyers as the Director of Attorney Development. She said, “For all of the U.S. offices, I’ll try to help other people develop their skills and career, primarily with litigation, but in other areas as well.…I’ve always had a lot of interns and externs at the court, so I enjoy that.”
