(CHICAGO and DALLAS) February 14, 2019 – Locke Lord Dallas Partner Jennifer Kinney Parnell has been selected as a member of the 2019 Fellows Program for the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity (LCLD) and Chicago Associate Wasim Bleibel has been named to LCLD’s Pathfinder Program. This is the sixth consecutive year a Locke Lord lawyer has taken part in the Fellows Program and the first year in the Pathfinder Program. Both programs aim to identify, train and advance the next generation of leaders in the legal profession.‎

According to LCLD, its landmark Fellows Program, established in 2011, is one of its most important initiatives, with more than 1,600 mid-career attorneys having participated in the program. As a member, Parnell will work closely with LCLD’s top leadership in conferences and projects aimed at increasing leadership and relationship skills for lawyers who are committed to creating a more diverse and inclusive legal profession. The Pathfinder Program, now in its fourth year, targets high-performing associates. Pathfinders receive training in critical career development ‎strategies, including leadership and the building of professional networks.‎

Bleibel is a member of the Firm’s Intellectual Property Practice Group. He represents clients in complex intellectual property litigation matters with a primary emphasis on disputes arising under the Hatch-Waxman provisions of the Patent Act and the Federal Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act. He has also successfully enforced and defended against intellectual property actions for a wide range of clients, including industry leaders in agricultural science, chemical technology, green energy, mechanical devices and medical devices.

Dallas Associate Marc Cabrera is serving as the Locke Lord LCLD Fellow for 2018, and previous Fellows include Chicago Partner Bilal Zaheer in 2017, Austin Partner Michelle Earley in 2016, Dallas Partner Art Anthony in 2015 and Chicago Partner Ernesto Palomo in 2014.
