May 14, 2018 – Locke Lord has promoted five lawyers across three of the Firm’s offices (Atlanta, Chicago and London) to Partnership level. The lawyers represent the Firm’s Business Litigation and Dispute Resolution, Cards and Payments, Corporate, Intellectual Property, and Regulatory and Transactional Insurance Practice Groups.

Michael Wolak represents domestic and international clients across a wide spectrum of industries, including telecommunications, biotechnology, financial, consumer reporting, automotive, health care and energy. He has broad experience counseling clients and litigating a full range of sophisticated commercial disputes and business torts in state and federal courts throughout the United States and in domestic and international arbitral forums, including Delaware’s Chancery Court and the International Chamber of Commerce. Wolak has held prominent, leading roles in some of the nation’s largest product liability matters on behalf of national and international manufacturers.
Tim Farber represents both public and private companies in a wide range of corporate and transactional matters focusing on the insurance area. He assists clients in connection with mergers and acquisitions and other corporate transactions, including purchases and sales of assets and joint ventures. Farber has specific experience in representing companies in the insurance area with complex insurance transaction and regulatory matters, including acquisitions, divestures and joint ventures. He counsels clients on a range of insurance/reinsurance regulatory issues, including financial examination and market conduct issues, licensing, change of control filings, affiliated and other holding company act transactions, investment compliance, corporate governance, withdrawal from lines of business, guaranty fund laws, producer licensing and compensation issues.
Charles Wu has extensive experience in a wide range of corporate, securities and transactional matters, including mergers involving both public and private companies, public and private offerings of securities, stock and asset acquisitions and sales, compliance with securities laws, joint ventures, corporate governance and commercial contracts. He represents numerous prominent Asia-based companies and investment funds in connection with their cross-border acquisitions, divestitures, financings and other business activities in the United States.
Ben Hitchens focuses his practice on all aspects of intellectual property law, with a particular focus on trademark and copyright disputes, increasingly within an online and/or digital context. He is experienced in litigating complex, multi-jurisdictional IP disputes on behalf of some of the world’s best-known brands and has counseled clients in actions before the English High Court and Court of Appeal, as well as the Court of Justice of the European Union. Hitchens is described in World Trademark Review’s Leading Trademark Professionals as a “pragmatic, concise and commercial” lawyer who is “not afraid to advise against a course of action if it increases costs without a tangible benefit.” He is a guest lecturer on the University of Chicago Booth School of Business’ Executive MBA program.
Siobhan Moore is the Global Head of Locke Lord’s Cards and Payments Practice and works with clients who provide or operate a diverse range of services that touch the cards and payments sector. These clients range from gift card providers, e-money issuers, acquiring businesses and other regulated payment service businesses to technology providers that sit outside and within the financial regulatory framework. She advises on product structure, business strategy and runs workshops. Moore is a director of the Prepaid International Forum and has been on the advisory board of the UK Gift Card & Voucher Association for more than seven years. She is also a frequent speaker at industry conferences throughout the world.
