Four Locke Lord Lawyers Named to The International Who's Who of Insurance & Reinsurance Lawyers 2018 List

Four Locke Lord lawyers across the Firm have been chosen for The International Who's Who of Insurance & Reinsurance Lawyers 2018 list. Nominees were selected based upon comprehensive, independent survey work with both general counsel and private practice lawyers worldwide. Those selected met independent international research criteria.

The Locke Lord lawyers named to The International Who's Who of Insurance & Reinsurance Lawyers 2018 list include:

Jon Biasetti, Partner in the Chicago office and Co-Chair of the Regulatory and Transactional Insurance Practice Group, represents U.S. and foreign clients on a variety of corporate, transactional and insurance regulatory matters. Biasetti has significant experience structuring, negotiating, documenting and closing reinsurance transactions of various kinds and complexity. These transactions cover the full range of life, annuity and health, and property and casualty, products and have involved indemnity and assumption reinsurance as well as modified coinsurance, funds withheld and financial reinsurance transactions. These reinsurance transactions involve the purchase and sale of in-force blocks of business, capital management and financial reinsurance, the sharing of insurance profits and losses between joint venture partners and reinsurance with captive insurers. Biasetti has also had extensive experience in policy replacement and renewal rights transactions. He has been named to The Best Lawyers in America since 2010 and Chambers USA from 2009-2017.

Nick J. DiGiovanni, Partner in the Chicago office and Chair of the Firm’s Global Insurance & Reinsurance Dispute, Coverage and Counseling Group, was also named to The International Who’s Who of Insurance & Reinsurance Lawyers 2018 USA Thought Leaders list. DiGiovanni was noted by sources as a “specialist reinsurance lawyer” who is “very well connected” in the area. Sources state that they “would not hesitate to refer work to him as he's been a terrific lawyer for a long time.” DiGiovanni has more than 30 years of experience in commercial litigation, concentrating in reinsurance and insurance-related issues. He was named 2016 Chicago Insurance Law "Lawyer of the Year" by The Best Lawyers in America, was named to Chambers USA for Insurance/Reinsurance from 2010-2017 and was named to The International Who's Who of Insurance & Reinsurance Lawyers 2014 Most Highly Regarded Individuals list.
