9 November 2016 – Chambers and Partners, in its recently published Chambers UK 2017 rankings, has named two Locke Lord lawyers as leading practitioners in their respective practice areas and recognised two UK practice areas for excellence.
The Firm’s Cards & Payments team continues to be at the forefront of payment services and was recognised as “a strong team with good industry knowledge,” receiving a Band 2 ranking by Chambers UK in the area of Financial Services: Payments Law. The team was also recognised in The Legal 500 UK.
Locke Lord’s UK Consumer Finance practice appears in the Chambers UK rankings for the first time by securing a Band 3 ranking. The team was recognised for the ability to “take instruction well and approach matters with a refreshing commerciality."
London Partner Kevin Heath was also recommended by Chambers UK for his experience handling consumer finance litigation and received a Band 3 individual ranking in Consumer Finance. Heath has also been recently commended by The Legal 500 UK in Banking litigation: investment and retail, with the publication saying Heath is known for asset finance and consumer credit disputes, and has related experience in insolvency and e-money cases.
Lastly, London Partner David Grant was noted as a Recognised Practitioner in Restructuring/Insolvency by Chambers UK.
