(HOUSTON) July 13, 2016 – David Patton, a Partner in Locke Lord’s Houston office and Co-Chair of the Firm's Energy Practice Group, has been selected to serve on DXP Enterprises, Inc.’s Board of Directors.
DXP is a leading products and services distributor to industrial customers throughout the United States, Canada, Dubai and Mexico. Patton’s term will expire at DXP’s next annual shareholder meeting, at which time he will stand for re-election by the company’s shareholders.
“David will be a great addition to the DXP Board,” said David Little, DXP chairman and CEO. “David’s years of experience in various legal aspects of the oil and gas industry bring an important perspective to the boardroom.”
Patton has more than 39 years of oil and gas industry legal experience, including acquisitions and sales of assets and equity interests, drafting and negotiating leases, contracts and other agreements related to field operations. Patton has also represented clients in connection with the resolution of oil and gas disputes.
Patton is the immediate Past Chair of the Oil, Gas and Energy Resources Law Section of the State Bar of Texas. A Fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation, Patton is also active in the Rocky Mountain Mineral Law Foundation. He is also a frequent speaker on oil and gas issues and has been recognized numerous times by The Best Lawyers in America and Chambers USA.
