Locke Lord’s Glenn Pudelka Named Vice President/President-Elect of Copyright Society of the USA

(BOSTON) June 15, 2016 – Glenn Pudelka, Counsel in Locke Lord’s Intellectual Property Department, was elected Vice President/President-Elect of the Copyright Society of the USA (CSUSA) at the conclusion of the organization’s 2016 Annual Meeting in Boston Tuesday night. After serving a two-year term in this position, Pudelka will immediately assume the position of President in June 2018. Pudelka currently serves on the CSUSA Board of Trustees. 

Based in the Firm’s Boston office, Pudelka has extensive experience in the area of copyright and focuses on handling various content licensing, distribution, supply and commercial agreements. He represents individuals and companies in publishing/entertainment, digital media, software, Internet, content and biotechnology fields, as well as numerous colleges and universities. Pudelka is a member of the Firm's Diversity and Inclusion committee as well as a member of the Boston Pro Bono and Hiring committees.

Among his representative experience, Pudelka routinely counsels and negotiates various publishing collaboration and content licensing transactions for publishing clients; second chaired a copyright/breach of contract litigation for a major publishing company; and defended an apparel client in copyright infringement litigation regarding use of photographs. Pudelka also negotiates software, distribution, and other commercial agreements and licenses.

Founded in 1953, the CSUSA promotes copyright law awareness and education and works to foster interest in and advance the study and understanding of copyright law in many different works of authorship, distributed via both traditional and new media.
