Locke Lord Partner Roy Hardin Admitted to Prestigious American College of Trial Lawyers

(DALLAS) March 10, 2016 – Locke Lord Dallas Partner Roy Hardin has become a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers, one of the premier legal associations in America. He is one of six Locke Lord attorneys among the Fellows of this esteemed organization, composed of exceptional trial lawyers in the United States and Canada.

Fellowship is extended by invitation only and membership in the American College of Trial Lawyers cannot exceed 1 percent of the total lawyer population of any state or province. Hardin’s induction took place at the 2016 Spring Meeting of the College in Maui, Hawaii.

Hardin joins Locke Lord Firm Chair Jerry K. Clements, Dallas Partner Michael V. Powell, Chicago Of Counsel Jerald P. Esrick and Dallas Of Counsel John H. McElhaney.

Hardin has more than 30 years of experience trying patent cases to juries and the bench across the country with a focus on Texas. Drawing on his experience obtaining patents as a registered patent attorney early in his career, he uses trial advocacy to leverage intellectual property law principles for his clients. He also has broad trial experience in trademark, copyright, trade secret, antitrust and unfair competition litigation. He has tried patent cases to judgment/verdict in Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, Missouri, South Carolina, Delaware, Washington, and Wyoming. Hardin is a graduate of John Marshall Law School.

Founded in 1950, the America College of Trial Lawyers is composed of the best of the trial bar from the United States and Canada. Fellowship in the College is extended by invitation only and only after careful investigation, to those experienced trial lawyers of diverse backgrounds, who have mastered the art of advocacy and whose professional careers have been marked by the highest standards of ethical conduct, professionalism, civility and collegiality. Lawyers must have a minimum of fifteen years trial experience before they can be considered for Fellowship.

There are currently approximately 5,800 members in the United States and Canada, including active Fellows, Emeritus Fellows, Judicial Fellows (those who ascended to the bench after their induction) and Honorary Fellows.
