Locke Lord LLP Named 'Volunteer Law Firm of the Year' By the Center for Disability & Elder Law

February 27, 2015 ­– Locke Lord has been honored as "Volunteer Law Firm of the Year" by the Center for Disability & Elder Law (CDEL). The Firm was recognized at CDEL's “Light Up the Loop” Winter Awards Benefit on February 25.

CDEL selected Locke Lord for its longstanding commitment to providing individual representation of low-income seniors and people with disabilities in a wide range of matters, including landlord/tenant disputes, guardianships, financial abuse and educational placements, among others. Ann Marie Walsh, a Partner at Locke Lord and the Firm’s Pro Bono Committee Co-Chair, accepted the award on the Firm’s behalf. Walsh serves on the board of directors of CDEL.

“CDEL is at the forefront of providing pro bono legal services to two groups which have been historically underrepresented in Chicago and around the country:  low income seniors and people with disabilities,” said Jennifer A.
