UT Law CLE: 48th Annual Ernest E. Smith Oil, Gas and Mineral Law Fundamentals and Institute

Locke Lord is a proud sponsor of UT Law’s 48th Annual Ernest E. Smith Oil, Gas and Mineral Law Fundamentals and Institute being held on April 21-22 in Houston, Texas. David Patton serves on the Planning Committee for this event.

Gerry Pels will speak in the session titled “ESG and What it Means to the Industry” and discuss how ESG fits within the concept of enterprise sustainability. The presentation will also cover how ESG specifically affects the industry and why lawyers from the energy industry should pay attention to ESG, including identifying risks attendant to ESG avoidance, as well as risks related to ESG program development and reporting.

The Ernest E. Smith Oil, Gas and Mineral Law Institute continues to be the definitive course for attorneys, corporate lawyers, E&P operators, and landmen. The Institute brings together a distinguished faculty of academics and practitioners for presentations on the latest oil and gas developments.
