Staying Ethical in an In-House Legal Environment

Locke Lord and the Association of Corporate Counsel's Northeast Chapter hosted an Ethics Program focusing on the unique and often tricky ethics challenges faced by in-house counsel today. While this program was applicable to all in-house counsel, Rhode Island in-house counsel participants earned two CLE ethics credits just in time for the Rhode Island Bar, June 30 deadline.
Mark Freel, Laura Wilkinson (both Locke Lord) and Jeremy Weinberg (Hasbro, Inc.) lead a discussion on ethics issues affecting in-house counsel, including issues related but not limited to:
- Confidentiality
- Privilege
- Mergers and acquisitions
- Social media
- Intragroup conflicts of interest
- Identification of the client
- Corporate "Miranda" warnings
