Ben Cowan spoke at the American Wind Energy Association (AWEA) Wind Project Siting and Environmental Compliance Conference on March 26-28, 2019 in Albuquerque. His session discussed “Repowering: Pitfalls and Processes.”

Just yesterday, it seems like megawatt-scale turbines represented the pinnacle of turbine technology.  As turbine capacity and size continue to increase, the option of repowering becomes more and more attractive.  This panel will discuss the challenges for repowering projects and how companies are starting to address those challenges.
