Inventorship: Pitfalls and Practice Tips

Alan Clement gave a presentation at LabCentral’s facility in Cambridge, Massachusetts on May 8, 2018 from 11:30AM – 1:30PM. The topic was “Inventorship: Pitfalls and Practice Tips."

Inventorship is rooted in the concept that a person has a natural, exclusive right to his or her inventive ideas.  The concept of Inventorship is of fundamental importance under the US patent laws, and has broad implications for ownership and licensing, validity, and enforceability.  This presentation will discuss the importance of correctly determining inventorship, potential pitfalls to avoid, and practice tips to ensure that your valuable intellectual property is protected.
