The practice of law has changed a lot in the past several decades. The time when lawyers had one job during the span of their career is no longer the reality for most of us. Lawyers find themselves in a period of transition at one or more points in their career – entry into the legal profession, brief or extended family leave, in order to pursue an alternative career opportunity or upon making a shift in the focus or path of their career. We will explore best practices for planning (or attempting to plan!) your career and making changes when life throws you a curveball.
