Derrick Carson is speaking at the Sixth Annual Damages in International Arbitration Conference – Damages in International Energy Disputes on November 30, 2017 in Houston. He is on the panel, "Damages issues in electricity-related arbitration: from construction to operation of generation, transmission and distribution assets."
The panel will first explore damages issues in the construction phase. In addition to the usual issues of delay, cost and termination, errors and changes in design may have significant cost and operating implications. If the asset fails to perform as expected, performance damages may follow.
