ABH Association Meeting: Current Developments in Privacy Law, Health Information Exchange, and the Law of Information Security

Please join the Association for Behavioral Healthcare (ABH) at the June 2nd Association Meeting with David Szabo.  This educational program will review current legal developments in privacy, information security, and health information exchange, including:

• Proposed amendments to the federal substance abuse confidentiality ("Part 2") rules and current compliance issues under the Part 2 rules
• State and federal efforts to promote the electronic exchange of health information, and barriers posed by state and federal privacy laws
• Liability and compliance issues posed by privacy and information security regulations, including OCR settlements and enforcement by the state Office of the Attorney General
• Legal aspects of implementation of health information technology and electronic health records
