A team of attorneys recently closed on a $190m term loan and $50m in mezzanine financing for a joint venture composed of affiliates of Ares Management LLC and CV Properties LLC, secured by the One Channel Center building (leased by State Street Bank) and the Channel Center Garage in South Boston. The project also includes the conveyance of a new, 1.5 acre park to the City of Boston for the public’s use and the creation of a new street system in the area. Edwards Wildman has been involved with this project since its inception, and has handled all of the site assemblage, permitting, and design/construction contracts for the joint venture, and closed the original senior loan in 2012.
