
Robert Mouton is in charge of the Firm's New Orleans office. His primary focus is in commercial real estate law, and he represents financial institutions, owners, and developers in the acquisition, development, and management of properties throughout the United States. He has extensive experience in leasing matters, representing both landlords and tenants in workouts, foreclosures, construction lending, permanent financing, equity financing, acquisition leasing, and bond financing, as well as acquisition, financing, and management in the hospitality industry. Mr. Mouton has also represented financial institutions in traditional asset-based and corporate lending and investment. He has been heavily involved in national acquisitions and financings in the cellular tower industry and is listed in the Red Book of municipal finance attorneys. Since Hurricane Katrina, Mr. Mouton has helped numerous clients in the Gulf Opportunity Zone take advantage of the benefits of that economic development assistance.
He is a founding member of Tulane University’s Freeman Venture Capital Forum and is a past president of the Tulane Association of Business Alumni. New Orleans CityBusiness recognized Mr. Mouton for his "Leadership in Law", and he was listed in Gambit Weekly’s 40 Under 40 in 2000. He is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers and International Association of Corporate Real Estate Executives and Attorneys, and also volunteers with the Boy Scouts of America with his two sons.
