Hartford Office Managing Partner Ted Augustinos Comments on NAIC's Updated Draft Insurance Data Security Model Law in Business Insurance

Ted Augustinos, Office Managing Partner of Locke Lord’s Hartford office and a member of the Firm's Privacy & Cybersecurity Practice Group, was quoted in a Business Insurance article on the updated draft Insurance Data Security Model Law, which the cyber security task force of the National Association of Insurance Commissioners released in August. Augustinos noted: “The revised draft also reduces the time licensees have to notify regulators of a data breach from five business days to three, which may not be enough time for companies still trying to figure out the answers to basic questions such as how the breach occurred — answers regulators will want.”
