Locke Lord Partner, Community Leader David Taylor Named Managing Partner of Houston Office

September 22, 2015 – Locke Lord Partner David Taylor, who currently serves as a member of the Firmwide Executive Committee, has been named Managing Partner of the Firm’s Houston office. Houston is one of Locke Lord’s largest offices with about 130 lawyers.

Taylor has spent his entire legal career at Locke Lord, having joined the Houston office after graduating from the University of Texas School of Law in 1988. A member of and former Co-Chair of the Firm’s Corporate and Transactional Department, Taylor currently co-heads the Firm’s Capital Markets Section. He also is Chair of the Firm’s Marketing/Practice Development Committee.

Locke Lord has been a mainstay in Houston since the early 1900s, and Taylor shares the Firm’s commitment not only to clients but also to serving the community. He serves on the Advisory Board of the Greater Houston Area Salvation Army and the Board of Directors of Oldham Little Church Foundation as well as on the Deacon’s Administrative Committee of the First Baptist Church of Houston. He is a member of and Past Chair of the Board of Theatre Under The Stars. He has previously served on the boards of the Houston Music Hall Foundation and The Children’s Fund.

Taylor advises public and private companies in a broad range of corporate and securities matters, with a focus on securities offerings and disclosures, mergers and acquisitions and corporate governance matters.
